Regency at Encino Apartments

DO NOT LIVE HERE, IT IS NOT SAFE Over the past few months all of us residents have been ignored and blamed by Essex for the theft of our own cars and property. Yes, CARS ARE BEING STOLEN from the garage as well as mail and personal belongings. It’s been months and they have done NOTHING. Leasing has been purposefully ignoring all of us. Do not live here, you WILL have your property stolen or damaged. This building is not safe and the owners are doing nothing to stop it. I will revise this review as soon as they hire a full time security guard. If you’re seeing this, it’s still dangerous. DO NOT LIVE HERE.

I recently moved into this apartment complex, and there have been ongoing theft issues, including stolen vehicles and cars being broken into. I’ve spoken with several neighbors, who told me that these incidents occur every year and that no meaningful changes or improvements have been made to address the problem. I’ve also noticed that residents’ posts raising these concerns are being removed..(for new residents?) Red flag :( definitely not safe..

My daughter and roommate moved in here last April. Thought it was going to be a lovely place/experience. The tenant above is a very loud angry man. Yelling and moving things around all hours of the night & day. They thought he was domestically abusing a woman. Turns out the police came and arrested. He came back and the yelling, stomping continues! The girls are scared. The girls have gone to management personally and email. They recorded his angry tyraids and have done NOTHING to rectify this situation. So, he has rights but my daughter/roomate do not? $3000 a month for this???????? This is complete BS! To top it off mold was discovered in their apartment and inconvenienced them at holiday time. They should get a break on their rent until they move!!!

The leasing staff is great!! While it has the makings of a lovely complex… but, if Juan , who is a gem, is not here.. The place can become a mess fairly quickly! This man needs more help so that we can maintain our beautiful surroundings. Also, better communication would help a lot .
