Preferred Title & Escrow

Shady business. I've been through a few closings and this one was absurd. Held my money hostage in an escrow after closing for several days, while releasing keys to the other party. Will file an official complaint to the Maryland Insurance Administration, so they can look into shutting this shady chop-shop down. Do yourself a favor and close at a reputable title company.

Don't ever use this company.You have to call to get things done after settlement!! Not the way to do business.The Notary did not ask for a routing number so funds could be deposited .My fiance had to call days later to find out what happened.Then they held onto his deed for 2 1/2 Months.He had to finally call and they said it was ready months ago.Again. DO YOUR JOB !!!!!!!

Do not recommend. STILL trying to fix an issue from last June. First issue the women who works there helped me with my title years ago saying it would be sufficient once I had my name changed. Well, my name did change, it was not sufficient so i had to pay AGAIN, (she did do it at a discount) she helped me with a name change title. Second mistake, she checked a box stating this was not my primary residence. The person had to actually take the effort to check this box. Why would this be checked and go unnoticed? A 5 minute meeting to sign the new title resulted in hours of me on the phone getting my homestead credit back because it messed up my tax payments, the wrong tax bill mailed to me and my mortgage company, and still trying to get the issue resolved with my escrow account.
