Pondfield Apartments

Pondfield Apartments was the best apartment complex I lived in. Management was very responsible and proactive. My unit was very spacious and in good condition when I arrived, and they conducted regular maintenance in a timely manner (replaced filter and checked smoke detectors annually, replaced faulty equipment when needed). I would highly recommend this apartment to others. Note: Photos are from 2021 before I moved in and I am no longer a resident at Pondfield Apartments.

I have lived at Pondfield apartment with roommates for 1 year, and then solo for 2 years. My experience has been great. I've never lived somewhere that the maintenance staff responded so quickly and efficiently. The location is convenient, the neighborhood is quiet, the staff pleasant. There of course were issues that occured as with any apartment building, but the speed at which Pondfield worked to fix them was satisfying. I say all this having lived other places where maintenance staff were slow, absent, or rude, and Pondfield really stands out.

I have been living at Pondfield for 16 years now. It is a great location for being close to Willy Street Co-op in Middleton, the Mall area and downtown. I know my neighbors, it is quiet and well maintained. Management is responsive to tenant concerns and maintenance requests. The rent has been stable compared to other properties and market rents. It is a great place to live long-term or short-term. I lived in a condo before and when I sold my condo I moved to Pondfield and it is much better than condo-living.

I have been living here for 10 years now. The management is professional and courteous. Maintenance is always helpful and responsive. My rent has been stable relative to other properties and market pricing. I enjoy the location--close to Willy Street Co-op in Middleton, the mall area and easy access to the bus when I was working downtown. The neighborhood is peaceful and there are walking paths in the Wexford neighborhood across the street. I have a large dog and he enjoys living in the complex as well, there are other people with dogs living here and I know my neighbors, we have a nice, friendly and fun atmosphere. My wife and I lived here for 3 years. It was definitely one of the better apartments I’ve lived in during my time in Madison that came at a reasonable price. Relatively quiet & safe neighborhood, but with paper-thin walls and an old building that’s not always taken care of. We had flooding issues in our apartment (from the one above, that was eventually fixed after 3 attempts) or our apartment main entry way (which happened at least 3-4 times as well). Chris on the maintenance staff was AMAZING and one of the best maintenance guys I’ve ever worked with.
