Pine Knoll Apartments

I know that Pine Knoll has had its share of bad reviews in the past, and rightfully so in some cases, I'm sure. But lately, I've seen many positive changes, and I thought a good review might add to the momentum of the changes already taking place. Out of the 8 buildings on the property, 1 has been totally renovated, and 2 more are in the process of renovation at this time. These units are nothing like the reviews and photos of the past depicted. They are nice, modern apartments that have the advantages that only garden style apartments can, and that's the fact that they're all single level, which means you don't have neighbors above or below you. I currently moved to pine knoll apartments and I can honestly say it’s way better than I expected. It’s very nice and a quiet community. The office manager was very nice and friendly and very helpful 10/10!! I’m totally satisfied and would recommend.

The current owners are completely useless—they refuse to fix anything. These apartments have been flipped and sold off multiple times in the past two years, and now, as I near the end of my lease, they’re demanding that I prove I paid first, last, and the deposit just to get back the money that’s rightfully mine. Absolutely ridiculous. This place is a disaster. They evicted nearly everyone, so now roaches are crawling everywhere, desperate for food. The complex is overrun with wild, feral tomcats. The back buildings all have mold growing under the floors—and yes, we have pictures. And what did management do when we told them we’re not renewing? They slapped a pathetic inspection notice on our door like that’s supposed to scare us. Newsflash: we don’t care. Only one building has been reno

Someone is putting animal poison around the complex. The roach problem is bad . Management isn't being paid . The property has 0 lanscaping. Management checks car tags and calls police if there not up to date. Not handicap accessible. No central ac or heating. No covers on lights . Monthly threats of evection despite rent being paid weeks in advance. This place is bad and your good faith will be rewarded with bad faith. Major pot holes in entrance. Crime scene in building not cleaned up has been there for months. No mailbox locks.full leas will not be shown to you. They will just have you sign one page then say there's more to the lease . My door isn't sitting on the hinges right. Plumbing needs to be completely redone it's been rigged. Apartment doesn't hold heat. Maintenance man stinks

If I can give 0 stars I would! These people stole our rent money since June 2022 & then months later changed property managers and told us we NEVER paid????? We were then informed that the lady who we was paying was taking our money & also the rental assistance money as well. They switched Property managers AGAIN & this lady was harassing everybody, lying to people. I know a couple people trying to move in and she lied about application fees & move in fees as well. She then got my husband cars TOWED for NO REASON! Her excuse was a tag was expired in august.... but towed them AUGUST 30th. These apartments don't even have insurance on them. Ms. Paula Smith is a liar !!! These folks are SCAMMERS!
