NVR is hands down the worst lender you could get stuck with for a VA home loan. They are grossly incompetent, and half the time it feels like they’re not just clueless — they’re scheming. The VA should honestly ban them from ever touching veteran loans. They don’t follow VA rules, they ignore customers, and they love slipping shady contracts under your nose like you won’t notice. Out of nowhere, they’ll tack on “new fees” to jack up your home price, and if you question it, good luck getting a straight answer. Their idea of customer service is silence and delay. And the builder incentive with Ryan Homes? That’s their weapon of choice — basically blackmail disguised as a perk. Don’t fall for it. If I could give 0 stars, that rating would still be too high. I bought in the Lehigh Valley PA and if Ryan homes tries to tell you to use this group; RUN! NVR mortgage is the biggest most unprofessional; uneducated, careless, unethical mortgage department I have ever come across. A wet paper bag can do a better job than this ratchet organization. God forbid you need to speak to a superior, all of a sudden no one phone works or emails start getting bounced back. They made me and my family homeless and then when questioned, all of a sudden my application can’t be found or opened. This company should be investigated, prosecuted and then forced to pay restitution to whoever had the misfortune of coming across them.

BUYER BEWARE: NVR Mortgage is a Nightmare! I am beyond disappointed with NVR Mortgage and strongly advise any home buyer to steer clear of this incompetent company. We’ve used them twice, and both experiences were disastrous. In February 2024, we purchased our first home with NVR and were assigned a loan officer who was so incompetent they got fired mid-process. We were blindsided at the last second, forced to start the entire mortgage and underwriting process from scratch because NVR put us in the wrong loan. They had the nerve to threaten US with delaying settlement if we didn’t scramble to provide documents we had already provided, documents we wouldn’t have needed if they hadn’t messed up in the first place! I have to start by saying that Luke Lindsay is absolutely outstanding. He is incredibly responsive, proactive, and takes the time to guide you through every step of the process with professionalism and care. Luke truly sets the standard for excellent customer service. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for others within the company. My experience with the rest of the team was so frustrating and disappointing that I ultimately requested to work exclusively with Luke based on his strong reputation—and I’m so glad I did. The only reason I’m giving 3 stars is because Luke single-handedly salvaged this experience. Without him, my rating would have been a solid zero. NVR is lucky to have someone like Luke on their team.

I cannot recommend Luke Lindsey highly enough! From start to finish, Luke made the entire mortgage process smooth and stress-free. He made us feel comfortable every step of the way, and took the time to explain things clearly and answer all of our questions. Luke was proactive, responsive, and professional. He kept us informed throughout and went above and beyond to make sure everything stayed on track. I’m so grateful for Luke’s help and would recommend him to anyone in need of a mortgage consultant or loan officer.
