North River Ranch - David Weekley Homes

We just closed on our brand new David Weekley Captiva model in North River Ranch. We built our home from the dirt lot- not an inventory home. North River Ranch is the hottest area of Manatee county! The building process with David Weekley was excellent, none of the nightmare stories I have heard and read about with other builders. They are a private builder so no shareholders and stock price driving them to cut corners. We love the floor plans and finishes - and the day of closing we did not have to deal with any post it notes marking up the house for things that needed touching up. Because they do 3 walkthroughs before closing and make sure everything is completed at closing. We did hire a private inspector for pre-drywall inspection and final inspection. Home immediately apprised 8% below selling price prior to closing. Builder said nothing we can do and refused to do anything. Stay away Contractors blocking driveways. Now having our master bath retailed after two failed are pts to fix the shower and re rule back splash. Two failed repairs. Hoa issues with contractors. Neighbors. Making threats to us a lot parking because our house is constantly blocked David weekly has yet to return our phone calls or address the contractor issues.

We went to the touch a truck event here and my kids had a blast it was a great community event. Also we parked at a beautiful k-8 school and the community looked beautiful also.

Very professional and helpful team! I worked with Chris from the beginning then changing to Heather as a representative. They both are super helpful, friendly, and kind. Heather is knowledgable and always helps me to solve whatever problem I have. The other thing I like during the building process is they call me every single week to update, also photos posted. This is way beyond my expectation. Preston, the lead of builder team, is very responsible and talented. He knows what he is doing; Always answer and give solution. They are all a very good team and good builder so far! I wish I have more money to buy more haha
