We stayed at Montecito for over an year. I am happy to say it was a really pleasant and comfortable stay. I would especially like to call out the exceptional efforts put in by Andrew who is a staff here. On numerous occasions he has helped maintain smooth functioning of our house. Be it clogged plumbing or hardware repairs, he is always there for you. Even on weekends, when he is not supposed to work, he picks up the phone promptly and guides you out of your issues. Andrew is also a gem of a person with level-headed views about life in general. It has been wonderful interacting with him around the complex. His personal touch to the work that he does makes it a very homely environment to be in. Five stars all the way. And thank you Andrew for all that you have done going beyond your duties.
This is the most unhygienic and unsafe apartment I have lived in. We saw everything here, from roaches, spiders, lizards crawling near our food and all around in the apartment, to robberies in the other apartment units. We even saw very shady people drinking alcohol in cars just outside our apartment. We were plagued by continuous issues throughout our stay. Once we moved out, we thought we are finally done with the management and the apartment, but no. We spent approximately 20 man hours on cleaning the apartment including carpet assuming that they would at least not mug us off our deposit but instead they throw an extra bill of $333 on us for the cleaning. The apartment was cleaner when we handed off, than it was given to us. For those of you looking to rent here, please beware what you
Have been here for 3 months now and I can say with confidence Edith and the current management are very responsive and helpful. They go above and beyond and do little things to make sure you are taken care of and are happy at Montecito. I’ve had a great 3 months here. I find it very quiet compared to my old Essex building in San Jose. I’m a very light sleeper and I have no issues with noise here. Being a night nurse I have to sleep in the day time and it’s been no problem at all. Loving it here at Montecito.
Very disappointed with the new management. After moving out recently, they are trying to unfairly charge me the full cost for repainting everything despite staying in the apartment for close to 4x years. I shared documentation from California tenants law showing that I can only be charged for remaining useful life of the paint if any (useful life if paint is generally considered 2-3 years). Despite that they just are giving excuses saying damages are beyond wear & tear. The move out hassle is just not worth it as the only mode of resolution seems to be taking them to small claims court. The apartments have been through a couple of new managements in the last 2 years & seems like current leasing company — Cushman & Wakefield is happy to put money before customer satisfaction. If you would
Lived here for over a year now. Andrew is truly the saving grace here. I have never experienced such a professional and caring maintenance management. You never have to send several emails or try to find him. He is always around and whenever there is an issue he and his team are ready to see what they can do. The cons are the prices for the apartments, non-gated community, and switching/new staff. The staff (new and old) are always nice and professional, which is amazing because most places are nice then become rude once you move in. It would just be nice to have some staff that knows the community because they have been there longer than a few months. This has been the best apartment living I’ve had mainly due to Andrew and the maintenance team. HUGE thanks for all your hard work and ca
