Because of the lack of care and management from this company this is possibly the reason why more affordable housing is scarce and not more is being built. Monarch Management doesn't understand that their are people who are in domestic violence relationships (I know a neighbor in this type of relationship) that they need to leave or seniors or working people who can't afford $2,000 or more of rent and they are being scammed on rent increases is not right!!! Even though people live in income restricted apartments those apartments should be taken care of. I wish landlords of income restricted housing would do right by the tenants and take care of their buildings!!! I called one of Monarch Management building no one answered the phone. we were clearly told that our monthly rent would be $711, and that we would pay $89 every four months toward the security deposit. We were also given paperwork stating the rent would be $711, with an increase to $762 starting in January. However, today we were informed—and were asked to sign paperwork stating—that our rent is now $781 and some change, which is completely different from what we were originally told. This management company WILL BE SUED in the very near future for their illegal practices and lack of management at the Iroquois Senior Apartments in New Cumberland, PA. They don’t manage their properties nor do they take any of their tenants complaints seriously. For a nearly a week now, the elevator has not worked in a 3 STORY building with HANDICAPPED TENANTS. Explain how this is not ILLEGAL?! How are tenants who can’t use steps to get out of the building? THIS IS A SERIOUS HEALTH HAZARD AND ILLEGAL! I applied this past fall on the first day of them accepting applications for a new complex that was to be opening soon. I had an in person meeting and also went through months of sending paperwork back and forth with the property manager. Every time she told me she had everything she needed, she would ask me for more documents. I continuously sent everything she needed without question.
