Mirabolante Apartments

Apartment was "renovated" before I moved in. Besides the usual issues that show up when that word is used, like badly door frames, there are parts of the floorthat will consistently creek. The parking lots have speed bumps throughout the property to prevent people speeding, but the speed bumps all start to peel within two weeks and caused damage to my friends car when they pulled in. Most apartment complexes I have lived in will usually do a pest control spray once a year. They are doing two in as many months. While location is useful, especially if you don't have a car, I will almost definitely not be renewing my lease when it expires.

Pros: *The location is good. Close to stores and restaurants without the traffic noise of the freeway. *Decent sized rooms except the closet in the smaller bedroom which is tiny and made worse by the water heater. *Maintenance is quick to respond. Cons: *Rude and inconsiderate neighbors. If you live downstairs, the noise from upstairs neighbors is maddening. They sound like elephants with steel toed boots on stomping at all hours of the day and night, regardless of “quiet hours.” They play loud music and it sounds like they are picking up and dropping furniture, it shakes the ceiling which also creaks so when they stomp and run it sounds like the whole ceiling is going to cave in. I would seriously not recommend this place; in the 5 years I have lived here there have been plenty of good/bad things but within this year alone I can say this is an awful complex to be at. 1. Security is so lack luster that I am surprised more crime does not happen. They have one maybe two security guy that patrols FIVE DIFFERENT COMPLEXS owned by this management company; and their primary job isn't security it is parking enforcement. 2. The fees are insane; 100 dollars for late fee, 50 dollars for a notice fee (if your rent is late, they MAIL you a letter from the office that is 20 feet from the mailboxes and post a letter to your door) 3. Honestly, I understand where the negative reviews are coming from but if you look around you find out really fast that the grass isn't always greener elsewhere. Yes you hear your neighbors, but when don't you in apartments? Yes there's limited parking but again go to any other apartment complex and you have the same issue. Some people are talking about the price. Go to any other brand new or close to brand new complex that's conveniently located around grocery stores, restaurants, etc. and find something cheaper. Management has worked with me and been very welcoming and helpful. There's a security guard patrolling through out the night so your cars are not as vulnerable to break ins as everyone is saying. I have lived here for about three years now and I have not had any major problems. It is pretty typical for apartment life and the units are pretty nice in my opinion. I have never had a problem with parking but I can see where people can have issues. The only thing I wish was better is people picking up after their pets. My garage was broken into once but nothing is perfect. Management does what they can for the situation so that is nice. I have only ever dealt with Mike who is one of the most amazing managers I have ever met but I am sure the new staff is just as great.
