M/I Homes Vista Pointe

When we first met Stephanie at the model home, she was friendly and interested in knowing us and what we were looking for. Stephanie and Brett answered questions and checked in on us. Stephanie was our eyes through the build. Definitely above and beyond! Juliana, the interior designer was amazing and really helped us to narrow in on what we wanted. I've had the pleasure of working with Stephanie Kahlstrof as a result of my purchase of an M/I Home in Vista Pointe.  She is a great representative of the company - showing patience, knowledge and professionalism in every interaction we had.  She accommodated endless (OK, maybe just more than average) showings with family and friends to ensure that I was comfortable with every step and was indeed making the right decision for me.  She is an invaluable asset to M/I Homes!

I have had cracks in my drywall for the last 3 winters. This year MI Homes had their contractor go in my attic. Found split 2x4’s due to trusses attached to interior walls. Had to hire a structural engineer to pretty much say the same thing. But he had fixes that needed to be done. Looks like MI Homes is not willing to repair under warranty. Even though building practices were not followed. Now I’m having to get an attorney involved to get this corrected. Typical of new home sellers. It may cost more in attorney fees than if I just repaired out of pocket. Going to have a meeting set up with the St Michael Building Department. Very disappointed in MI Homes and their tendency not to repair their issues.

I have worked with M/I several times, and Derek S. did an amazing job helping my first time buyer/builders. He answered all of our questions (and there were Many!) quickly and correctly! The neighborhood itself is great, features park areas, easy access to St Michael shops and restaurants.

Cheaply built expensive homes. The most frustrating part about living in an M/I development is the lack of control they have over their subcontractors. Subcontractors treat the neighborhood streets like a racetrack. Construction sites are filthy, workers never observe required safety measures when working on elevated surfaces.
