However, they have misled, ignored, and financially harmed my family through deceptive practices. 1️⃣ Withheld Critical Loan Denial Letter: Ashton Woods claimed my loan was denied months ago, yet I never received an official denial letter—until recently, after weeks of disputes. This proves they were not transparent and made decisions that I was unaware of. 2️⃣ Broken Promises About Refunds: Their sales team assured me that if my outside lender denied my loan, I would receive my deposit back. DO NOT BUY A HOME IN THIS COMMUNITY! I purchased an Ashton Woods home in Meadow Runs community within the city of Melissa, TX. I’d like to say that my experience buying a new home and all the surrounding excitement has been extremely pleasant but I am sad to say that it has been anything but that. Besides the typical delays associated with covid supply issues, which I understood, I have faced several issues with the workmanship of my home. While I understand that no home is perfect and there might be a scuff here and there, my experience has been a little more than I ever expected. I’d give a 0 for customer experience here. Absolutely deceiving content on the website or maybe the Sales Manager doesn’t want to help. Never had such experience with any other builders. Our agent couldn’t make it as we were driving by and wanted to check out Meadow Run community. Met with an associate at Ashton woods and checked out a home. We have been told as agent is not with us, they cannot add a realtor and whatever commission needs to be paid for Agent will not be considered. This was for just an initial showing, not sure why the website depicts a different message saying buyers agent gets 4%. So you are not allowed to look for houses without your agent accompanying you all the time? Lame!!

I wouldn't personally buy a house here. They took almost 6 months past the due date for my relative to have their house done and there are a lot of things done poorly because they rushed it at the end. Alot of cheap fixtures that don't belong in a high end house.

Our daughter bought a home in this subdivision. Lots of lovely homes, nice size pool, playground and walkways.
