Meade Tractor of Abingdon

So I purchased a zero turn tractor from this place a few years ago. I had to walk around and find a sales person and start asking questions. But I finally bought it. Fast-forward till three years ago, I walked in there to buy a tractor. I did not know the different sizes so I decided to talk to a sales person. Basically the sales person told me to go online and do a little research and then decide which one I wanted and come back. I went the same day and bought a new Holland tractor, 65 hp and took it home that day! Now today I go back into John Deere to look at a skid steer. I walk around the skid steers for 20 minutes, nobody came out. So I go inside. I asked one of the sales guys how much the skid steer was he says about $70,000. Meade Tractor of Abingdon Has Great Sales folks and a Great Parts Department. Meade Tractor of Abingdon *DOES NOT* Have a good service department (Excluding the workers at the service desk they are very nice and professional). The Service Techs at Meade Tractor have problems and are not professional What so ever. My recent experience with Meade Tractor of abingdon has been horrible. A few weeks ago our hay mower Broke down and we took it to Meade Tractor to see if they could fix it. The Service tech at Meade Tractor spent 10Hrs on the Hay Mower to say it could not be fixed and charged us 1100 dollars, Thats fine I understand that he did infact need to be paid for his work. My husband is going to buy a tractor. He has been wanting to visit Meade. Since we don’t live here, we’re not up this way too often. But we were here today. We stopped there, and my husband walked around the yard of good looking tractors and decided to go inside. Her walked around the entire showroom 3 times and said there were 3 employees in there having a great time talking and laughing. Sadly none of them had time to even speak to him. He will find a tractor but it won’t be at Meade!

I had them service my X750 and the transmission filter wasn't tight enough upon return and after the first use it leaked fluid all over my garage. I guess they don't double check what they service before bringing it back to the owner. Never again.

The disappointing process started with a recall from John deer. I scheduled my appointment for the service technician to come to my house to fix the recall and was not given a choice of convenience for myself that was OK not great but I do understand everyone has to run their business as they see fit, so I took off of work for this appointment which costed me about $500 that day and as hard to believe as it is it was a no call no show form the service technician. I discussed the disappointment with the manager and they did attempt to make things right he even agreed to fix the recall and install a auto connect on my deck that I had gotten from them a few years back with intention of installing it myself.
