Building with McBride is great if you enjoy poor craftsmanship, no attention to detail and fixing everything they touched during the building process. I have been in my home for less than three years and it’s one problem after another with minimal support to fix it. The first problem we had was roofing related. I called McBride customer service and they told me they would make an appointment for the roofer to come out while I had water coming through the garage ceiling but they never did. I had to make the appointment for the roofer to come out and when they did we were told that the way is was if we had one good snow the roof would have collapsed in that spot. Another is that in the winter we have condensation build up inside the windows and ice forms on the inside of the windows. But

Poor quality of craftsmanship. Mcbride doesn't care and neither do its contractors. Our one-year-old ranch home is always hot in the summer. The A/C runs 12+ hours a day and our electric bills average $300 a month in the summer. We had 3 visits from Welsch in 2024 and one visit so far in 2025 where we were told our a/c was undersized and our return air vents are placed incorrectly. Our basement has over 20 cracks in the foundation. Drywall tape/mud work looks like the neighborhood handyman did it. Columns out of plumb in the basement. Outside light can be seen from inside of the basement where it shouldn't be seen. Our driveway and patio were replaced only for the ground underneath them to sink again and McBride to deny our claims leaving voids under both the rear patio and the driveway. S

McBride caused significant damage to our curb before our home was even built. Despite repeatedly assuring us they would repair it; they never followed through. Over time, they withdrew from the subdivision and ultimately claimed the issue was no longer their responsibility. McBride has never denied the damage, as it is thoroughly documented with photos, videos, emails, PowerPoints, and multiple Better Business Bureau complaints. I did not want to leave a one-star Google rating, and I made every effort to resolve the matter directly with McBride. However, they refused to repair the damage they caused. Although McBride had an escrow in place to fix streets and curbs before leaving the subdivision, they chose to ignore our home and the curb they damaged. I reminded them countless times, makin

Update after 3 year ownership: This time it is even more scary thing: we just discovered the top railing on the deck was cut short and it cannot be screwed and secured during the installation. The worker knew it but chose to ignore. This is reckless and it put customer in danger. We were lucky that no one fell off the deck. It could be a lot worse. It is clearly a craftsmanship issue that McBride homes continue to ignore. And they just covered it up with the cover. I have to say: If there is a zero point, I would do so. Update: the “world class” customer service indeed reached me to reiterate the display home is sold “as is”. My advice to you is to stay away from display home by McBride!!!
