If I could give no stars I would. They charged my roommates and I over $800 to “paint” the apartment and more for cleaning fees when we left it in the same condition as moving in. It was not painted when we moved in. They even told us to use nails instead of command strips to hang things so we didn’t get charged when we signed the lease. Take photos of everything and honestly if you have the means take them to court. They’re taking advantage of college students and their families. There’s no reason I should’ve lost most of my security deposit for them to what? Paint over another radiator.

Don’t rent with Legacy. Amy and Jennifer are two rude, selfish individuals who treat their tenants like naive children. I moved out in August, left my apartment spotless, and have been repeatedly misled about where my security deposit check is. Despite repeated phone calls to them, I STILL have not seen the check (nearing the end of October). Will update if/when I get it to add how much I got back, but I’m not expecting much based on the rest of these reviews. Sure hope my good friends Amy and Jen are enjoying that new Mercedes that we all paid for! I will say, Chris, one of the maintenance guys, is one of the kindest, most genuine individuals I know, and will help with anything you need. If you hope to get your security deposit back, prepare to fight for it. I thought it was excessive to require a $280 cleaning service, but then they accused us of not paying for it after we showed them the receipt. Any scuff on the walls suddenly becomes an extensive painting project and we soon found ourselves losing $550 to painting that I could have done with a toothbrush in an hour. Interesting, it didn’t seem like the walls were newly painted when we arrived, maybe they just pocket the money? Update: took Legacy to court, and 16 months after initially receiving my security deposit Legacy was ordered to pay us 100% of my security deposit for wrongdoing (130% when including the initial security deposit return)

Signed the lease at the Orlando with very high hopes and was let down within a day of moving in. Besides being completely rude and misleading in communication, Legacy took $800 out of our security deposit for painting, even though there was absolutely no damage. These people know what they’re doing and it’s so unfortunate that they’re able to get away with scamming college students. Really wanted to love this place but they made my final year of renting as a student my most unbearable year.

Legacy Property Management Did Not provide proper notice to enter my sons apartment. Their Maintenance man walked into his bedroom while my son and his girlfriend were lying naked on the bed. This is a Violation of the Bill of Rights. Further more my son is protected by the Federal Fair Housing Act of 1968. They have shown systematic harassment of my son. Is this because he is in a protected class? Legacy personal have entered my sons room two times unannounced and are now trying to enter his room while he is on vacation. This is not for maintenance and he has no opportunity to secure his private or valuable items from untrustworthy staff.
