Landing at Bayou Cane Apartments

Would not recommend I was there for two months & I’ve had a problem with mold on every window in the unit. Took them almost 2 weeks just to come kill it and it was the day before I had to pay the rent or we were getting evicted. I had to get someone to call them so they would come in and I was told they have a couple units that have the same issue. The window was not sealed inside or outside which caused it to rain inside everytime it rained. They brushed it off like it wasn’t a big deal and this has been an issue for years! Me and both of my babies got sick from it! They also had algae growing where the a/c unit was. The ceiling fans worked better than the a/c. They also wouldn’t give me corporates number when I asked saying they “can’t give out that information”. Needs better management!

I recently moved in at this apartment complex. The application process was quick and way easier than I thought. I am a first time renter, but the leasing agent, Kate was so welcoming and beyond helpful! She was genuinely interested in what we were looking for in an apartment. She was also extremely thorough and took the time to add up all our bills and make sure it was in our price range. Being first time renters, I really appreciate how thorough and caring she was throughout this process. Love the location and the complex is quiet. Hope everything continues to go well here! So far, so good!

I am incredibly disappointed about my current stay at Landing at Bayou Cane. I am a new resident, residing here for less than a month and I wouldn’t suggest anyone live here. When I moved into my apartment the A/C wasn’t working, it was fixed in about a week, but now it’s not working again. It took two weeks to get a dryer that they already had around. There are no screens on the windows. I was told that as long as it is “habitable” certain things wouldn’t be fixed that are considered cosmetic. On the sides of the counters, there’s glue where the counter siding is supposed to be placed, I supposed that’s not going to be done. None of the doors close properly besides the front door. Rusted vents and sprinkler heads. Botched paint job. The only carpet is in the closet and it has red stains.

Tomeka at the clubhouse is incredibly helpful and accommodating. She's always willing to assist with any of my inquiries and does so with professionalism and kindness. The maintenance team is also very responsive to service requests and works diligently to keep the grounds well-maintained. I've recommended The Landing to friends and will continue to do so in the future.

If you are looking for an apartment in Houma, La I most definitely don’t recommend moving into the landing at bayou cane! This property does not care about their tenants. I’ve been out of hot water for days now. Not to mention I was not even informed by anyone the office that my water heater was being turned off due to a leak. I called management who told me that they could not go out and buy a replacement water heater and that I had to wait until one came in. I asked for corporate info in which they would not give the number but told me I had to look it up. I’ve contacted corporate with calls and email but I’ve gotten nothing in return. The only thing they care about is receiving the rent nothing more. Stair wells are dirty and nasty and there is a pipe leaking raw sewage in the parking l
