Lake Sumter Apartments

I would strongly recommend avoiding Lake Sumter Reserve Apartments. My experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. From the very beginning, the leasing office was unprofessional and disorganized. They couldn’t even keep track of my lease terms. Initially, I was told I had a two-year lease, but just around the one-year mark, they told me it was actually just a one-year lease. Then, they backtracked again, months before the renewal decision, and claimed I did have a two-year lease—forcing me to scramble to make a rushed renewal decision. On top of that, they hit me with a $1,078 charge, even though it was their confusion about the lease that caused this. I also had a prior issue when a machine was placed in my apartment after a ceiling leak, which skyrocketed my electric bill from $17

I love living here. That's FIVE STAR!!! The issue is that after being here since 2021 I have had issues every single year at renewal time. I see one person on here (one of many I've spoken to) who are informing their lawyers of what's happened here. My husband is a war veteran who genuinely saw combat in Iraqi Freedom. He was abandoned out there and the PTSD hits when they don't have an answer on our renewal because he's afraid of having no roof and no home like many veterans don't. All year everything is fine and we don't need the front desk at all, but when we go to renew, I've offered my information in October the first year, had to resubmit things for the second and third year because people lost our information, the fourth year we weren't renewed until late May, early June because of

EDIT: not sure why owner would ask for me to send an email & then never reply to email sent. Added more photos of the devastation this has caused my family. To the $400 rug I had to throw away, the $200 rug, due to baby roaches being inside whenever I unrolled the rug. The brand new vacuum I bought (roaches all on the inside) The brand new upholstery cleaner, the kuerig, my couches, all in the trash due to roaches or roach droppings being in items. Items not shown would be a mop bucket and mop that I threw away due to the amount of roaches and dropping I mopped up and didn’t feel comfortable keeping. Various cleaning items I spent money on, and roach bait and traps. Not to mention I had to bomb my storage unit that I am currently paying $102 a month; to ensure I didn’t carry any with me af

This is a beautiful place to live!! The staff, including maintenance and office personal have been amazing! I've had to have maintenance fix a couple of things, and they are always cordial and efficient! I love my home! Thank you maintenance and all staff for the GREAT job you do!

Super informative and very helpful anytime I’ve needed help of any kind . Front desk is very kind, to the point & have worked very well with my needs over time. Consistent upkeep when it comes to Maintence & office is outstanding with customer service and care. Thank you guys for taking care of me for my first apartment 🫶
