Kenwood Mews Apartments

Nightmare flooding/ mold situation in our main bedroom for 8 months they have not been able to repair. Refuse to move us to different unit and/ provide rent credit. Purposely gaslight us every month. 7 months of pictures and countless emails leading to no where. The worst managed Apartments i have ever lived in. We have to pay 1500$ to move into a new unit.

I give 3 overall. There are roaches. I don’t know if they’re in all units but they were in mine and my neighbors. I lived here with roommates and even with someone always being home porch pirates were still extremely common here. There is a mail room but it’s hit or miss if the mailman will utilize it. Whatever your “assigned” parking spot is you will be sharing with other tenants. I don’t believe they have enough parking spaces for the entirety of the property, hence why everyone seems to park wherever despite you being made to pay for your “spot”. This issue caused a lot of animosity between myself and my next door neighbor because we were paying for the same “spot” and basically whoever got home from work first would park there. I had an appointment to tour list location on Saturday at 11am that I confirmed prior via their system. I arrived at around 10:45 and I walked into the front because someone was moving out. When I walked in I saw the leasing office where I saw a woman at the desk. I informed her that I was there for the tour and she told me that I would not be able to see any units that day. I was very confused because my appointment was confirmed and I just took time out of my day to go there. She claimed that she sent a text an hour earlier but that was a lie. When I left and was driving back home I received her text. I find this to be very unprofessional and rude. Why not call or actually text someone on time to cancel their appointment. My wife and I love this complex. Walking distance to so many wonderful spots on Riverside. The management staff is very attentive and quick to respond. They organize food trucks every Wednesday night and there are occasional events, even during the pandemic. We had a wonderful virtual wine tasting event, completely free to us. We’re happy to call this place home.

This place has gone so far downhill in the past couple years. Management refuses to put in cameras and people's mail is getting stolen left and right. Also had someone get their car stolen from the parking garage. They say they're not putting in cameras still. The place is filthy - there's recently been rats and roaches all over the place. If you try to voice your concerns or issues they just ignore you. I emailed them in March about an issue and we're now in October and they're still ignoring me about it. It's just not a good place to live anymore. Sad because I love the layout of my apartment, but it's just not worth the cost anymore with such poor management. I'll be leaving once my lease is up.
