Corcoran company took over this property about 2 years ago and since that time it has gone further downhill. It began with the company outrageously jacking up the rent. In one year my rent for a two bedroom apartment went from$1,650 (which was bad enough) to a whopping $2,050. And that was for a 10 month lease. 12 months would have been about $2,100. This property has no amenities worth the cost increase other than upgrading the laundry room. There is no pool, no work out room, no community center… All other increases were spent up upgrading the esthetic appearances of the property in order to gain more tenants. Communication is extremely poor. Very rarely is anyone in the office to speak with. When you call an answering service answers to forward a message and then it takes days for someo
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! THE PROPERTY MANAGER IS POORLY TRAINED AS SHE HAS NO SYMPATHY FOR ANYONE BUT HERSELF. SHE TALKS DOWN TO PEOPLE AND THINKS THAT IT PRACTICES GOOD MANAGEMENT SKILLS. JOHN CORCORAN SHOULD BE ASHAMED TO HAVE HER AT THIS PROPERTY AS SHE IS RUNNING IT TO THE GROUND. SHE DOESNT CARE ABOUT THE PROPERTY OR THE HORRIBLE SHAPE THAT ITS IN. I KNOW YALL DELETE REVIEWS SO I WILL BE TAKING THIS CONPLAINT UP TO THE HIGHER UPS SO SOMETHING CAN BE DONE FINALLY!!!! P.S. JUST BECAUSE YOUR RECORDS INDICATE THAT IM NOT RESIDENT DOESNT MEAN 1. THAT I HAVENT APPLIED TO LIVE THERE AND 2. I HAVE FAMILY THAT T LIVES THERE AND I SEE THE WAY YOUR “PROFESSIONAL EMPLOYEES” HANDLE SITUATIONS.
Living here has been miserable. It’s roach infested. It’s rundown and moldy. My car has been hit in the parking lot twice. My mail has been opened and stolen in front of a camera that mysteriously can’t be checked. The water is often brown. The washers and dryers rarely work. I’ve been woken up in the middle of the night by a fire alarm no less than five times (in writing this at 3AM after one of them). Whenever any of this is brought up to management you receive a condescending response and no action (if anything). Management isn’t present during the hours they claim to be and when they are there helping you isn’t their goal. My neighbors apartment flooded entirely from a plumbing issue and they needed construction which management never informed the surrounding neighbors of. Please don’t
I have lived at Kent Apartments for 22 days. This place is ridiculous! The difficulty with this place prior to n moving in should have been an indication as to what I would be dealing with. The stairs going into the building are in need of repair. They are not level and are falling apart. The smell in the hallways is uncomfortable and irritating to the senses. I am renting a basement apartment, it is always hot. The windows are unsafe, one fell in on me as I opened it. The security doors an inefficient. There are times when it is extremely difficult to open the door from within, and opposite of that is sometimes the same door does not latch. The door to the leasing office/common area is left open after the office has closed. This door being open gives anyone access to 2 of the 3 buildin
Glad that I did not end up moving to this place. Last year, I signed a lease with them after touring the apartments. To my big surprise, they canceled my lease a few weeks later, because they said the apartment was suddenly unavailable. Clearly this was their fault 100%, so I was even more surprised that they did not care to provide any alternative solutions that could fit my timeline. At the end, they just refunded my application fee and that's it. I could have sued this property because they had broken the lease within a matter of weeks. This tells all you need to know about the ethics of the Kent Apartments.
