Paid a premium for land, still ended up with an unusable backyard When we first picked the plot, it was just a piece of land and we paid a premium to the builder for it. After that, we selected the home plan and paid the initial deposit. However, by the time we were able to actually see the shape of the fence and the backyard, we were already at a stage where backing out would mean losing the initial deposit. The backyard they provided has extreme slope and they did not care to resolve that by leveling the ground to make it usuable. At that point, we had no real choice but to proceed with the purchase, regardless of how impractical the backyard layout turned out to be. The sales team was great, but my experience with KBHS Mortgage has been very frustrating. I regret choosing them for my loan. While they do offer credits, the loan officer wasn’t transparent about how those credits would actually be applied. In my case, I had to withdraw more funds than necessary for closing, and I didn’t fully understand how their point system worked. As a result, I ended up paying extra out of pocket.

The homes are poorly planned and they are not investing the money they are charging nearly a million dollars for the homes. This is a massive fraud!!! They are not adding irrigation systems to the home and providing trees which requires lot of watering and care. The trees eventually die and you are fighting it off with the HOA. They should mandatory provide irrigation system to all homes for the crazy money they are charging. Lots and lots of problems once you move in.

We are new home buyers with KB in the early stage of our build. So far we have had excellent service with Doug, our sales rep. He gives us weekly updates and is quick to respond with any questions we have. Our design center experience with Elizabeth was great as well. We just met with our Superintendent, Ron and we feel confident he will oversee our build well with all of his experience and expertise in the field. We will give an update further in our process but so far everything has been great!
