Does a realtor, loan originator, or closing attorney have a responsibility to not close a loan where the borrower is suspected of being incompetent ? During my Mom's closing, I called and spoke to Renee. I told her that my mom does not know what she's doing. Renee was very rude and told me she was not doing anything and hung up on me. I called back and asked for the supervisor who she would not connect me with and she told me that I needed to stop calling or that she was going to press charges on me for harassment. This was on May 15th. Since then my mother made two payments on the home before being told she has early onset vascular dementia and CANNOT MAKE MEDICAL OR FINANCIAL DECISIONS for herself nor is it safe for her to live alone.
