Even though I could not give Insight Homes a zero rating I was forced to give them one star. When we decided to purchase a home from Insight Homes we were told that the homes were well built. Nine years later we have had three significant problems with our home. Probably #1 a leak from our roof staining the ceiling in one of our bedrooms. Called a reputable roofer who corrected the problem caused by subcontractors used by Insight Homes. Problem #2 our main plumbing drain located in the crawl space backed up. The drain in our kitchen was backing up an none of our drains were working. The plumbing company we called to assess the situation discovered the backup was caused by improper installation, they found that the drain was backed pitched causing a clog that put stress on the straps which

Insight Homes made building a new house pretty easy. We lived in San Francisco made our first trip to Delaware in November 2024. Our new home adventure started with Rob H. at Anchors Run and we talked with him with all different developments in the state. In one fast weekend, we decided on Insight, found our future lot, and prequalified for a mortgage. Knowing that we wanted a change, we decided to move forward to build on the East Coast. Living on the West Coast, Insight was accommodating with us traveling back and forth for the required site visits/inspections. We had our Fixture and Finishes Selection Appointment in January 2025. Our AC unit is not cooling our house below 79 degrees. The warranty company has told us that this is fine. I find it not acceptable I don’t even keep the house at that temp during the winter so why would I want my house at that temp during the summer. It needs to be fixed!! No one’s house should be that hot in the summer and I believe our unit is too small for our house. Do not buy with them they only choose to fix things that they want to. This has been a on going issue for the past few years. I should not have to foot the bill to have this issue fixed when it’s under warranty.

They are building a dwelling in our neighborhood, It is a private road where the speed limit is 25 miles an hour. Even though we have informed the workers that they need to slow down they constantly ignore us. By going fast, they have torn the road up. Just had the gravel replaced and are still driving way over the speed limit

We love our home. It is lovely and, more than that, it is well-built and very economical to live in. We like that Insight has taken care to use 'green' materials; healthier for us and for the environment. Everyone we have met at Insight has been very good to us. They have always tried to work with us on any issue that may have come up (issues will always come up in a new build). Some names that get honorable mention are Kyle, Heather and Nick. Thanks to you and all the staff at Insight who have made our purchase a positive one.
