Icon on The Greenway Apartments

I know this review is not going to help them better themselves; however, it may help someone do their due diligence in NOT moving here. We moved to Icon on the Greenway in March of 2020, and currently reside there after mistakingly signing another year’s lease. Even though the staff is nice; the company itself is neglectful. I complained about mold being in my apartment in July; I was told to leave the blinds open because moisture was getting in and the sun would dry it out. In December I complained again because now it was getting worse. I was told that new windows needed to be ordered, and I wasn’t the only tenant that had this problem; they wanted to make sure it was this before they spent a lot of money ordering windows and that wasn’t the problem. It is now March and now I’m stuck in

The only complaint I have is how unbelievably loud the people below us are. We hear them like they are above us. Every door shuts like its in our apartment. Kids running like they have on lead shoes. It's obvious that these buildings have no type of sound barrier. We know the second they come home. We won't be signing another lease, only for that reason. If it wasn't for how bad the noise is we would have stayed another year.

I just wish some things was examined before the move-in date by the staff. Some things are slowly getting fixed. I just wanted my first experience to be moving ready with no issues.

BEWARE OF A HOUSING SCAM!!!! If I could give this apartment complex 0 stars I would! First month: Changed management, and trash was piled up Second month: Pipes burst and I had to replace a 75 in tv, rent and tv were not compensated. Third month: I was robbed at gun point outside of the apartment! They stole my iPad and MacBook. When the front dest was asked about security protocols THEY SAID THEY HAD NONE! MOVE OUT MONTH: INITIALLY the leasing office said to break a lease it would be the LAST two months of rent PLUS $1,500, which is fine but now they are threatening to put 2,000 dollars on my credit! They ALSO refused to give me a receipt for the previous 4,085 that I paid in May.

I would strongly advise against living at the icons My experience here has been overwhelmingly negative. The service is terrible, highlighted by an incident where my car was towed without justification. When I attempted to resolve the issue and pay the $350 fee to retrieve my vehicle, no one in management could provide a clear explanation. The apartment itself is outdated and poorly maintained. I've had ongoing issues, including a broken tub that hasn't been fixed despite multiple requests. Additionally, my apartment flooded and it took management two weeks to address the issue. The amenities promised, like the pool, were also disappointing. It was supposed to be open year-round but was closed for most of the summer.
