Homestead Village Senior Apartments - Active Living 55+

We have been living at Homestead Village Apartments since October 1, 2025, and my husband and I absolutely love it here. It truly is a wonderful place to live. The all-inclusive pricing works perfectly for us as adults over 55 on fixed incomes. Our rent includes electric, heat, air conditioning, water, trash, cable, and high-speed internet, which makes living here extremely affordable and very stress-free due to rising fluctuations in electricity costs etc. Each floor also has very reasonably priced washers and dryers conveniently located at the end of the hallways. The sense of community is outstanding and getting to know our neighbors (and their many precious pets!) has been a joy. There is always something fun going on. The floors are a dull muddy mess, the elevator is floor is filty. Both back stairs are filthy with dog urine and feces spots all over from top to bottom. Same thing is in the hallways little dark spots popping up everywhere. Carpets are only sweep once a month is what I have been told.seams in the carpet strip seams are coming apart. The trash room smells like a rotten dump. I am not sure why this is happening but someone needs to come here and do a full cleaning inspection before it gets out of hand when I walk down the hallway it stinks with are terrible order. Also there are still Halloween decorations up on the first floor. Who ever is in charge is doing a unacceptable job of supervising this building. Overall I give this community a 1. I have lived here for 2 years, poor management. There are rules for residents but these rules do not matter and not enforced. You must smoke 25 ft from the building. Residents smoke against the building all the time. I have seen management walk past them and ignore this. Residents are not to have anything in the hallway next to the door except for a door mat. During the holidays, residents had items outside their door and still do. This also is ignored! Dogs are loud, excessive barking. Walls are thin. During the winter months especially, the residents cannot get the dogs out in time, dogs are pooping in the hallways, stairwells and in the elevators. And they are not cleaning up after their pets! Very nice, quiet place to live. My wife and I have lived here for 3 years and we really like it. If they had disability ramps at every door and patios to go out and sit in the summer i would've gave them 5 stars. But other than that, very nice. And the manager, Heather is the best!

I do like all bills and amenities included in the price. Staff is helpful and nice. I love my apartment spacious and an island with dishwasher included. The only I wish for a pool and porch that is not here at Homestead Miamisburg.
