Homestead Village Senior Apartments - Active Living 55+

My hairstylist has a salon inside this building. The lobby area or social area is really nice as this is a retirement complex. Cute fountain, tables & chairs, a coffee room with coffee machine, TV room and a pool table room. The whole complex looks like its well kept.

Lots of space to do things, crafts, sewing, pool, library, tv room, ping pong... ONLY ONE ELEVATOR when broke gotta use steps... NOT GOOD! especially during emergency. Rooms are nice but bathrooms are not necessarily set for "seniors" and modifications for tub/ shower saftey difficult. Kitchens are nice with reasonable storage space.

Extremely nice residents and lots of activities to do. But the key word in their description to live here is active. I would not recommend for someone who needs to use any type of assistive devices. I know it has been at least 9 days since the elevator has been broken and is yet to be in service. That is unacceptable to not have a working elevator for that long in a senior living facility that has three floors. My grandma needs a walker and hasn’t been able to leave her home because of no elevator. I just had ankle surgery and I barely can make it up the stairs to her place. We live seven hours away and we were really looking forward to bringing her to visit my grandpa’s grave in the veterans cemetery for Memorial Day and we can’t because of the elevator now. Nice place but small for us. 55 yes of marriage with half of that time in the Military, we've accumulated a lot of keepsakes and large furniture; including 2 California king-sized beds. Bathrooms are a nice size. Overall, we liked the place. Just too small for our needs. I do recommend that if you are 55+ you take a look.

My husband and I have resided here for 8 months now and would never consider leaving. The residents here are out ‘family’. We depend on each other for friendships, help with errands, and have the best football parties. Come see the beautiful surroundings and join in the fun.
