Hilton Head Lakes

Course needs some work. New owner needs to get greens right. They are very inconsistent. I gave you 5 stars because it is good course, nice layout nice employees.

I’ve played this course a lot over the last few years and have always had a decent experience until yesterday. There were only 2 of us in the group and it still took us almost 6 hours to play 18. We are not by any means bad golfers usually play bogey golf at worst. The amount of groups that were right on top of each other was insane. The starter had us on the first tee before the group in front of us even got to their tee shots. And the next group behind us was waiting right behind us before we even hit. The course clearly only had profits in mind and did not care about player experience at all. With that course being ran like that I will not be returning any time soon which is a shame because that course has a great layout.

Great golf course and amazing staff. I’ve played this course 10 times in the last year and the conditions and maintenance of the golf course was fantastic this year (Oct23) the greens rolled pure and were in great shape from the previous year.

We signed a contract to have a home built by Realstar at Hilton Head Lakes (South Carolina) in August of 2020. Lennar took over for Realstar on October 1, 2021. At that time our house had been sitting (about 65% completed), basically untouched for about 6 months. When Lennar came in, we were so excited that this big, professional homebuilder had come (we were told they would be “bringing the cavalry” to HHL) to complete our house. After waiting 2 to 3 months to get their assessments complete (understandable due to the mess and mistakes that had been created by Realstar), it appears that the cavalry is one guy and his minivan.
