Hillhouse Apartments

They are finally doing deferred maintenance, so many things in the last 4 months seems like they are prepping to sell. Point of complaint is they allow tenants to behave badly. The one man with this red car insists on hogging visitors spots up our hill to store one of his two cars. And comes and goes using the spot that is designated for his apartment. Management has yet to address this with him, just a simple reminder that he doesn’t own the visitor’s spot would suffice.

I lived here in college and the owner had an office on site. It is a section 8 property based off income and they provide a utility allowance if your income is low. The playground was right off my backyard so we liked it a lot. My voucher came through a year later and I was able to find house but was really helpful as a single mom in college. The owner was very nice.. if your income changes then they make the adjustment to reflect rental cost.

Amanda V, the on site manager is one of the most uncaring and evil people I’ve ever met, very long story short I’ve been kicked on account of debt that was not mine (proven, they didn’t care) I went to court and there was a settlement where they cleared “my debt” balance (7 THOUSAND) and kept an eviction off my record, but I was required to leave in a month. Now, a couple months later, they sent me to debt collectors ON THE BALANCE THAT WAS CLEARED IN COURT. This is the trashiest place to live and they do this to other tenants as well who are just trying to get by in this low income housing. They completely targeted me and are still doing so. Dont live here, they’re involved in insane and completely unethical legal practices, can’t keep track of paperwork, and they do whatever they’re boss

Lived here awhile, we been through more managers then I can count. There is a playground in the back. We was under a 24 hrs notice of entry from 9am-5pm for 5 weeks of straight. We was also given some sort of ledger which shows the date of move in and all months up till document printed. Amounts of rent paid vs what sec 8 paid. Ours went back to 2018, we was also told we owe over 2000 in back rent. This place needs investigated , that can't be legal. They set up the parking lot so the cars are to close. So arguments happen on a near daily bases, on who hit who's car. Just let us thunderdome.

It's low income housing. That should tell you all you need to know about management and most of it's residents.
