Hemmingway Place Apartments

I was considering living in this apartment complex next Fall as a student at Penn State, but after staying with a friend here for a couple days, I decided I did would not feel safe living in this community. There were large groups of men being extremely loud in the parking lot late into the night. I did not feel comfortable going outside at night by myself. This group of men was driving their cars recklessly through the parking lot whenever they came in or out. I was concerned that someone was going to be hit. I saw multiple families with young children during my stay. They were also dumping trash from their cars into the parking lot. Many of these cars have no license plates as well, and that seemed like a red flag to me. I would not feel comfortable living in a community where this ki

This is an old community with so many problems that just won't end. The management company tries to do makeup, instead of targeting the root problem. They don't care to do proper maintenance until the problems goes out of hand, e.g. the ceiling begins to fall down literally. Prepare to live without your dishwasher, hot water, washing machine, or bathroom, for days, or weeks and counting.

Install appliances here and they are nice, simple layouts. Clean property is well taken care of. Great for a couple students to live.
