We just moved in one month ago and it’s been… interesting to say the least. The day we had set to move in, they called me saying they had zero record of our move in time and lease due to them switching managements. I was concerned but understanding that it wasn’t those specific people’s fault that the last person didn’t keep record, so we didn’t complain at all even when we had to switch the time one hour before our move. They said they needed to get cleaners in before we got here. When we walked in to see the apartment, it stunk so bad of bleach. Again I thought you know the cleaning company just came, I’ll just open the windows and let it air out. We did a walk through and it looked generally fine, although there is a cabinet with sharp screws sticking out of it and we have a 1 year old
I have had the same problems as Linda down below. With no management in office , yet they send termination papers and charge late fees when I definitely pay my rent on time! I have never been late, due too poor management, I’m now two months in a row being charge a late fee and having a termination scare. I’m confused as to why the owner isn’t stepping up and sitting in office as it’s clear they can’t find someone willing to stay full time. It’s now impacting residents. Makes me questionable to resign as I never been late but am now being charged as if I was. I recommend taking video proof of you plan to lease this place out, as it’ll benefit you if they try to take you to court. I now have video record of 2 months of turning in my rent and will plan to keep recording as this seems to be a
I like this place until the management is not functional after our excellent manager Chris left after the Thanksgiving day without warning. Up to today, I still have not heard from Hampton Heights for my reaching out to them for: 1. I was asking for renew lease options since October 2024. 2. I paid my rent for Dec 2024 on 12/2/24 morning and I'm glad I had video recorded it because I had been handing Chris the checks in person except he told me I could just drop off the check in office rent box. Now the portal system is reminding me to pay my rent plus I got $100 late fee charged. 3. Two work orders I submitted on 11/26/24 by calling Chris and portal site are not taken care. One is for stove burner making noise and showing blue flames. The other one is bunch falling leaves in the bac
Lived here since 2019, Chrissy and Aaron were the Greatest Management and Repair Team I could imagine, then Covid hit, the property sold and we went through a few transitions of Management. Well here we are ending 2023 and our Management Team this past year has been exceptionally helpful and kind which is a lot in the current culture of Rental Management. I commend Chris and the rest of the Team for maintaining a safe environment for their residents.
After multiple turnovers, I've got mixed feelings on management and the uncertainties of living at this property. When I first moved here, I was paying $1,325 for a 2 bedroom, in early 2020. It's gone up every year and at this point it's becoming unaffordable especially with job and wage stagnation. It's currently over $1,500, and with utilities it's over $1,700 per month for the same 2 bedroom apartment. Management seems like it's trying it's best, but at its best it feels understaffed and not always the most helpful. Management is split between multiple properties, and isn't always in office during listed hours. If rent goes up again, me and my roommate will likely have to move out, which sucks because it's been our home of 3 years, and we like the area. Recently there's been lots of
