Our experience working with Greg Hanner over the past year was exceptional. What we found most valuable in our first home search was his background in building. He's honest about quality and is able to point out what may need work and when - this was reassuring to us especially since we ultimately bought an older house. His patience, knowledge of the market, and ability to walk us through the buying process simply but thoroughly made our experience less stressful than we had anticipated. We were first time home buyers, and were recommended to work with Greg, and are sure glad we did! Firstly, he was very thorough at explaining the processes, what to expect, different options for buying, and all the rest that new buyers may not know. Along with Greg’s real estate experience, his previous work with building projects was a reassurance as we toured homes and he could give us honest opinions about the state of the house, and money that may need to be sunk into it. Finally, Greg had our best interests as the priority through the process, and was not guiding us towards properties that would be beyond our finances or lifestyle.

I'm one of the little guys, probably on the low end of the buying spectrum when it comes to buying a first home, and we were moving from Long Island to CT. Greg never made us feel that way, he put up with all of our inexperience and confusion (it also happened to be a difficult time, personally). If we had questions, if there was something bothering us about the experience, if our ignorance kept us from looking at things in a property we may have missed, Greg supported us. We had him crisscrossing counties, taking him outside his area, looking at windows and heaters, and all the while Greg was wearing a smile and educating us. The experience will never be perfect, but know you have someone on your side striving to make improvements at every turn.

When my fiancé and I were looking for a realtor to buy our first home, we knew we wanted someone that would carry a high level of knowledge on the structure and condition of the home.
