Fontainebleau Apartments

I’ve been getting very frustrated with how long maintenance takes and how it’s usually completed with cheap, short-term solutions. Many others have left reviews about this. The event that pushed me to write this review was just this week. After a major snowstorm, Fontainebleau didn’t bother to clear sidewalks, or even salt them. They became icy and slippery, especially the crooked and uneven stairs that lead to my apartment. They also left snow piled up in front of the covered parking spaces (which people have to pay a great deal extra for), and it took 15 minutes to dig out my mother’s trapped vehicle. We then skidded around on the snow still left all over the parking lot. This was days after the first snow fell. Apparently, this negligence has been going on for years. My mother slipped

I move in Feb.24, 2024. It was nice at first, then came water issues, sewer problems. City of Topeka stepped in to make sure work done to code. Then asbestos, they threw away all of my furniture, clothes & my husbands ashes. No one ever answer’s phone, text or emails. I have lost everything no one here cares or gives a dam. I got out of lease is only good thing. These apartments have gone downhill. Maintenance is a joke. Don’t rent here always problems.

Don't rent from this. Please read why you shouldn't rent from this place. First off any maintenance you need will take months to get done and if they do finally decide to "get it done" they'll leave it unfinished for months at a time or if they "fix it" it'll be temporary repaired at the THEIR cheapest expense not to mention if they do get finished they'll just leave their things there. And they have a tendency to say that they'll come back to finish it later on in the day and they NEVER do. If you do rent this place and need something fixed just fix yourself and ask them to take it off the rent. Secondly the current manger of the place(summer 2024) is rude and unhelpful. We have lived here at Fontainebleau for almost 2 years. We love the peaceful surroundings and our building has the woods behind us so it really makes our balcony private and relaxing. Can't wait for pool to open. You'll find me out there almost every day relaxing in or by the pool. Office staff and Maintenance guys are great and quick to help with anything that may need fixed (which isn't often) . We wouldn't want to to live anywhere else. We're here for good!!!

I lived at Fontainebleau for just over a year and a half as a single mom of two while going through a divorce. I was so happy to have found such a safe and inviting place for my children and myself since we were starting over. I never missed a rent payment and always made sure we were not a disturbance to anyone. The window in the room my kids stayed in was not chalked properly so cold air continuously came in. I did notice that chalking was not done properly throughout the entire apartment because this happened with numerous windows. After purchasing my home, I went through the process of ending my lease.
