First Place Leasing

If you are a homeowner looking to rent out your property, I strongly urge you to seek a different property management company. Unfortunately, the limited options in the area seem to allow First Place Leasing to continue operating with poor service and little accountability. Over the nearly ten years that I rented my home, I encountered numerous avoidable issues that stemmed from their lack of care and attention. I was frequently blindsided by large repair bills and was never consulted on non-emergency repairs. Whenever I called to express my concerns, I was given empty assurances that I would be contacted, only to go through the same frustrating cycle the next time an issue arose. If you’re military please avoid this company. I left mid December for my next assignment and prepped the house we were renting for inspection. When we moved in we throughly detailed all damages and issues with the house and almost a month after we left we get a breakdown of what they charged against our deposit. Paid $1250 deposit and only got $50 back. Issues that were annotated on the damage sheet when we moved in were charged and other damages that didn’t exist. I reached out for an explanation but have yet to hear back from them. Again avoid this company.

Absolutely TERRIBLE! Please avoid!! So many things wrong with my move out. My deposit was $1100. I got $75 back. They charged me $900 for tiny nail holes in the wall. NAIL HOLES!! Total scammers. And when I sent them an email about it, Wes Graham had the nerve to send me the most unprofessional email as a reply. I had to report them to the housing office on base to at least warn other military members to stay away from this place. And now I'm writing this review to warn everyone else. DON'T get involved with First Place Leasing!!!!

This is a screenshot of a women stating that we would be able to move in June 26 2024, she made my husband and I pay the rent now which was $150 for June, she told me to move my utilities which I did and they start June 26th I am pregnant she said I can’t move in on that day, which was really shocking for me to hear I have no where else to live my husband and I have to live in our cars filled with our belongings from our home to to the lies from these people they took our money and not caring. I called twice and the front desk let me know that Wes the man person was in his office but refused to answer my phone call. I was so happy to be moving in but the fact they won’t get back to us or give us the time of day is so dishonest. They will just take your money and not care they will use your

SLUMLORDS DONT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE. Moved in sight unseen. Place was dirty and things were already damaged. No heater during a New Mexico winter. These people are the worst. Save yourself the trouble and rent from someone else. They took my entire deposit without ever letting me know why and sent a bill to collections without any correspondence. Multiple times they falsely charged me for yard work they hadnt done and when I sent photos as proof they told me to pay or else. Ultimate con artists. If I'm ever in Clovis again I'll be paying Paula a visit.
