Courtyard at South Station Apartments

Honestly, I really liked the apartment, but the property management needs a change. The location is great too. The property manager seems to fix priority things first. When the water heater broke, we got a new one two or three days later. The heater was broken almost the full two years. I submitted maintenance reports a few times, as well as called to check on the status, but the reports were written as "completed" and the heater was never actually fixed. My roommate's and my friend's cars were both broken into. He also never responded to a call about that. The dumpsters are constantly full and there's so much junk behind them - beds, couches, washers, dryers - tons of stuff. The rest of the grounds looks nice. Would not recommend living here. The apartment itself was nice until something broke. Trying to get the property manager to do anything or respond to anything was impossible. Oh, and take pictures when you move out. They will try and say you didn't clean when you left the place spotless. Moved out 3 months ago and they just recently decided to give us our deposit back one we threatened to take them to small claims court. Also, our cars were broken into twice in our assigned parking spot so we decided to get a camera and often there was suspicious activity.

Lived here for a year. In my experience, the Property Management was awful about responding to maintenance requests or reports of issues in a timely manner. In the time that I stayed there, we had two infestations of ants to which the property manager said "Well, we've tried spraying before" but offered no additional help beyond stating that something ineffective was done in the past. Our dryer broke (the belt or bearings were worn at it no longer spun) and we were given notice that it would take 3-5 days to replace: it took 23 days for him to have it replaced. During this time, he was impossible to get in touch with and did not answer or reply to my attempts to reach him via phone. The price of the place is fine for what it is, but do not expect much from their management.

I lived here from March 2016-February 2020. Pros: It's within a short walking distance to the light rail and short drive to the airport. The apartment itself was nice and spacious. Loved the walk in closet and larger bathroom. Cons: Mangement. If you are considering living here, or if you live here now. GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING AND SAVE EVERYTHING YOU HAVE FOR YEARS AFTER YOU LEAVE. Maintenance requests took weeks, if not months to get fixed. While living there, I had a billing error that I had to reach out to Woodspear Properties managers directly after not getting any response from the property manager after multiple attempts. Honestly no complaints. My wife and I️ needed a place fast and we lucked out with these apartments. They are in a great location and it’s a very quiet community. Troy (management) is super helpful. Our refrigerator went out and Troy had a new one in our apartment the next day! The complex is very clean and also pretty. They keep the grounds nice and groomed, making it a place you want to be. Definitely recommend renting here!
