Cortland Bear Creek

Well, this has been not a good living experience at all. Let’s start with the noise complaints. We have a disgruntled neighbor that lives beneath us and she decided to call the police on our 2 year old nonverbal child for playing at 2pm on a Sunday. The cop came and obviously agreed with how ridiculous it was. When we let Cortland know that we were being harassed with banging on the ceiling and cop calls in the afternoon from our neighbor, they never even responded to our concern. We had to go to the main office and not only did they side with them, but they put blame on our 2 year old NONVERBAL child. According to the front office, it doesn’t matter if it’s man, woman or child, no one is allow to jump in their apartments. I guess they just want us to strap our child in a high chair 24 hou

Our experience so far living here less than a year has been mixed. Negative: 1, The lack of enforcement of a no smoking policy at this non-smoking community is a major problem. We moved in here because my wife and I are allergic to second-hand smoke and the leading staff assured us our building had no complaints about smokers. Today, our daily routine includes placing cotton balls with tea tree oil and Florida water around the apartment and in the closets to help reduce the smell and fumes. We also often have to open our windows, no matter the temperatures, to air out the fumes which makes us itchy, red-eyed, interrupt our sleep, and give us headaches. We already spent over a hundred dollars on cigarette smell removal products and scented oils to help mitigate the problem. We have to cha
