We entered into negotiations to buy a property in unincorporated Woodstock listed by Keefe Real Estate. "Last and final" offers were submitted. Kim Keefe confirmed out offer was accepted via text to my agent and she requested we submit an updated contract for the final numbers. After we signed and submitted, the delays started. She said the sellers were "out to dinner" and she was "working on them" to get the deal zipped up. The reality is they went back to the other buyers for further negotiations. While not illegal, it is certainly shady and I would not recommend doing business with unethical people. Buyer or seller, it's not good if you can't trust your partner.
