We’ve lived in our home for about five months now, and although we didn’t purchase directly from Clayton, we feel it’s important to highlight how impressed we’ve been with the manufacturer side of things. Clayton built our home, and the level of care and responsiveness we’ve received—specifically from Dylan Scruggs—has been outstanding. From the day the home was delivered, Clayton sent contractors for a final walkthrough. They were incredibly thorough and addressed every small cosmetic concern we had on the spot—things like minor wall cracks or slightly off-center cabinetry. I am so disappointed in Clayton Homes Athens Texas. My husband and I purchased a home cash and waited months for the build. There have been so many issues with our new home from the walls to the trim. When I called Britney she had told me in an email someone from construction would be calling. That’s been a month. I’ve sent her emails and have had no reply. I do not recommend purchasing your new home from Clayton Homes. The work is sloppy and clearly the customer service lies to you and does not care for their customers.

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY! WORST QUILTY IVE SEEN AND CHARGE MORE, DO YOUR HOMEWORK. Me and my husband also purchased with cash and received nothing but terrible workmanship and they will not fix any thing like they say. Countertops not level, paint everywhere, bath tube that doesn't function, wrong door and shower , countertops peeling off after one month, floors lumpy, all countertops are full of lumps, Brad nails sticking out everywhere on trim, no punch list items fixed. Them and Henly Homes are not worth doing business with.

I highly recommend Clayton homes in Athens. It's a great company to work with.

After being basically homeless for 8 months after our home was destroyed by a tornado, the day our new home was to be delivered, we get a call saying sorry about your luck but we ain't coming. . 8 months of anxiety and depression so that literally at the last minute being told "we ain't coming". The excuse? A truck broke down. You really expect me to believe you only have one truck?
