RUN AWAY AMHERST BUILDING- COCKROACH INFESTATION Dog poop everywhere Trash overflow Hidden fees Unresponsive management Your car gets plowed in during snow storms They don’t salt until maybe 4 days after it snows so the ramps are extremely icy I’ve watched people fall & almost have a few times myself . I moved here in August, and my only concern was if there were pest in the building. Upon renting to me Michael reassured me that there wasn’t and nobody has reported any activity. Two weeks after signing my lease they were present nearly everywhere. ( behind the stove and fridge were traps full of old pest ) I have reached out to Michael on multiple occasions for extermination, in which he scheduled them I got a notice for their appearance and they never showed. No communication , nothin
Leaving this review because there are different complexes and apartments therefore everyone has different experiences so I want to share mine. Although I do agree that the increase in rent is unfortunate, since moving here everyone in the office has been so kind and the amenities are great. I find it unfair to rate the complex for individual neighbors behavior like cleaning up after their pets. There are signs posted as a reminder but unfortunately not everyone will comply. As far as pest control goes they were here not too long ago treating all units, like I said everyone’s experience is different so hopefully they’re able to fix whoever is experiencing negative turnover.
I have lived here for over 3 yrs. They require us to carry our own renters insurance or we get an additional $60 a month tacked on to our rent. Thats on top of landscaping, amenities (which are unusable) and a monthly parking fee (where the lot is specifically designed for the complex anyway.. go figure) I have been paying my renters insurance as instructed but management is STILL charging me the extra fee. I have sent my policy number to management for the 5th time this month and they are telling me, the charge cannot come off. Additionally there is never hot water, no matter if it’s at 8am or 8pm. Maintenance FINALLY RESPONDED after my 7th complaint. Their response, “The boiler is not large enough to heat the water for the size of the complex.” So now my basic renters rights are not bein
I’ve lived here for about 8 months now, and since Michael has taken over as property manager, things have truly improved. He is honest, kind, and works very hard to keep everything running smoothly. In my opinion, the community has only continued to get better under his management. Recently, I had an issue with my door lock—it became stuck, and even though I had my key, I couldn’t get inside. I submitted a work request, and the issue was resolved within 12 hours. I was so impressed that I stopped by the office to personally thank Michael. Overall, I really appreciate the responsiveness and care that goes into managing this property.
I'm not entirely sure where to begin, but I feel it's important to first address the ongoing issue with communication or the lack thereof. It is almost guaranteed that 99% of the time when calling the office, no one answers. As a result, residents are often forced to physically come to the office just to speak with someone. Recently it has also become increasingly difficult to know when the office is actually open or when staff are present. Google lists the office hours as 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. but this information is often inaccurate. A simple sign indicating when staff will return would be extremely helpful and would reduce unnecessary frustration for residents. It’s also unclear how residents are expected to access shared amenities such as the club room, or retrieve packages if they are una
