Black Hills Experience

Our stay at the Alum @ The Cobblestone enhanced our trip to the Northern Black Hills immensely! Candace is an amazing host and incredibly helpful and kind! The location is within walking distance to great coffee and food options, and the summer fun of Downtown Friday Nights. At the end of days hiking and exploring the area, the Alum was a relaxing home away from home! We will be returning and look forward to experiencing some other Black Hills Experience properties! We had the opportunity to spend a couple of days in the Black Hills area at Beautiful Off-Grid Living @ Granny Flats. During our trip, the location was perfect for visiting Mt Rushmore, Deadwood, and many locations in and around Spearfish, including Blackbird Espresso (featured on the show) and Bridal Veil Falls. Spearfish is such a great little place and such a convenient small town. This was our fist time in South Dakota and we were so impressed with SD in general and the beauty of the Black Hills area. it is such a lovely area. Granny Flats was so welcoming! The grounds (and treehouse), parks (I walk many miles per day), and people were so welcoming. Absolutely guarantee that next time out there I will look at your properties first when booking and hope to find availability. Thank you s

The Black Hills Experience was on par with the quaint and inviting feel of Spearfish. Such a beautiful oasis in the middle of the gorgeous Black Hills. The room was clean and inviting and had a welcoming feel. Lovely little balcony to sit and unwind after a day of work or leisure. Right next door to a charming wine bar which was also a great place to relax, sip some wine with an inviting feel of local towns people. Blackbird coffee shop is right across the street to for those that need a caffeine fix. More about the room, bed was super comfortable, bathroom and shower was clean with amazing water pressure. Fast wifi and TV is ready for all of your streaming capabilities. I would highly recommend this if looking to stay in a charming and clean environment and also a stones throw from all

We had the pleasure of staying at Granny Flats 2 months ago during our short weekend stay in Spearfish. To say we loved it would be an understatement! Great location, amazing acreage with a trampoline, treehouse, cold plunge, and tree swing! We had so much fun exploring the property and chatting with Cappie, who helped our 18 month old feed the on property chickens! The old farmhouse was cozy and inviting, the bed was comfortable and everything was very well decorated and clean. We will be back for sure!

Alum @ Cobblestone provides a quiet and home-like experience. Smooth and secure check-in and check-out process. Would definitely stay again. Freshly ground coffee was a pleasant and unexpected perk.
