Battery Park Lofts

From the perspective of someone who has been here for 3 years, BPL is a great place to live. The units are modern, open and full of natural light with the glass sliding doors that open up to the patios. At least half the units have some view of the lake. Melissa and Mike on the management team are very responsive and great people. My dog thrived in this building with the other neighbor dogs. It's a quick walk across the street to an open park where neighborhood dogs meet and play next to the brewery (which is also dog friendly). The neighborhood is amazing with Edgewater Beach below and restaurants and coffee shops within blocks and BPL is right in the middle of it.

Battery Park Lofts continues to experience routine car break-ins and vandalism. These incidents occur on a monthly basis and typically impact 5-10 vehicles in and around the property when they occur. My vehicle has personally been broken into 3 times in 3 years. Each of these incidents has been relayed to building management by myself and others who have suffered similar damage. In spite of resident requests for increased security, including the implementation of private security, the building's management has done nothing to address the concerns. I can only help but interpret this as a lack of care and respect for residents and their personal property. I moved here in May and I can't say enough great things about my apartment. Love the area. My neighbors are super friendly and I get to play with a lot of cute dogs! Melissa is leasing responds immediately and takes care of any questions I've had. Maintenance is the same. The halls and trash room are kept clean and always smell good. I love it here. If I could change anything, I wish I had a bathtub and not just a shower but that's how it goes! If you're looking for a quiet, clean, reasonably priced place, definitely check out BPL.

This place is freakin *cheap*. Poorly built, with terrible noise issues; poor insulation, such that bugs get in constantly; poorly maintained, such that the single (!!!) elevator for five floors is constantly out of service. No parking included, even in the outside area where cars routinely get broken into. And a little scam whereby a single subtle reminder about renewing your lease is deliberately underplayed so the "management" company can invoke an obscure provision of your lease allowing them to impose a $500/month penalty. There are countless apartments in Cleveland with better locations, better construction, better deals, and honest management. Life is too short for Battery Park City "Lofts." (Even the name is a lie!) Steer clear.

I recently toured with Rose, and I absolutely loved the units I saw. Management was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and informative throughout the entire visit. I’m genuinely excited and can’t wait to move into my new apartment!
