Bank of America (with Drive-thru ATM)

I do not recommend this branch or any other Bank of America branch because whenever I deposit a check, they give me a receipt that I will receive in 2 days and in the end they end up holding them for 10 days and I call customer service and they tell me they can't do anything, always the same excuses. Yesterday I already closed two accounts, one personal and one business, and today I will close another one and after I receive my money from the deposited checks, I will end up closing the last account. I no longer want anything to do with Bank of America.

On my visit, I walked into the branch and immediately noticed that no one was present at the front desk to assist customers. Well my business partner was given a check for a job we completed. The check was for a good amount but under $10,000.00. It was lower than $8,000.00. So we went into the branch located on Grand River near the Southfield fwy. My partner went in alone with 3 forms of identification. The bank teller who was working at 11:30 am on June 12, she told my business partner that she couldn’t cash the check because it was too much money. She didn’t offer us a chance to open an account or nothing. Needless to say, we just deposited the check in our Chase account. I took a check into the bank that I knew was going to have a hold. I asked the manager could they release some of the funds so I could pay a bill he said no however 5k would be available on Wednesday. When I checked my account it will be on hold for another week and the 5k will not be available. I asked him several times and he said he was sure. When I left the bank it shows that the check was reversed and suppose to be credited back to me that same day but is still on hold until the weekend. Meaning I will not get the 5k that I needed like last week. He is a lier and I no longer trust this bank and will be closing my account.
