Rustic Old Design, Screeching Noise through the Suite, Be careful with the bed legs, they hurt really bad if you bump into them. Service - Called for a hair dryer, flip flops twice to the service lady and at the reception twice Everyone noted but it never came to the room. Badly need room design, poor light in room. Sleep - you will have irregular sound of heater in the room, very annoying. I sleep in loud noise, and i was struggling. Never again!

The David Whitney Building is absolutely stunning. From the moment you step inside, you’re surrounded by timeless architecture, elegant design, and a sense of history that’s been beautifully preserved. The atrium is especially with high ceilings, natural light, and detailed finishes, it feels like a hidden gem in the heart of Detroit. Whether you’re just passing through, grabbing a drink, or staying at the hotel, the building is worth experiencing. It’s one of those places that reminds you just how beautiful the city really is.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Hotel David Whitney which is part of the Autograph Collection of Marriott Hotels. As a fan of architecture and architectural detail, the building was a feast for the eyes and a delight to explore. My room was always well cleaned, the views were great, the location is fabulous, and the staff very helpful and pleasant. I have friends who live in the residences on the upper floors and are super happy there. I look forward to staying at the David Whitney again.

Beautiful place! Very well decorated for Christmas. The lobby bar has great whiskey options.
