Avonlea on the River

Good community. I have been living here for more than a year now. Most of the buildings are renovated this year. There are bunch of activities happening throughout the month. Good management.

Love staying here since a year. Very nicely maintained, clean and friendly community. Lots of events and activities hosted by the management like pool party,Halloween party, movie nights and many more.

This is my very honest review of Avonlea on the River Apartments. The good: I really liked the interior of my apartment and most of the features. The leasing office staff were very responsive The grounds are kept up nicely. The majority of the residents appear to be families and I had no issues with noisy neighbors. The nature trail along the river was nice. The complex felt safe, though the mailboxes were broken into and packages stolen from the package room. They held many community events though most are for children. The saltwater pool is very nice. The not good: Like every other apartment complex they raise the rent at the end of every lease period. I was there for 3 years and had I stayed a fourth, the new rate would have amounted to a 27% increase from when I moved in, way higher t

My husband and I lived here for 3 years and we can say we’ve lived very happily. This was our home. We only moved out bc we signed on a house. Staff was very sweet. Maintenance was always very quick to respond to our needs. The neighborhood felt safe and very family friendly. Our neighbors in building 8 were kind people. Would definitely recommend living here :)

Mold! Don’t let the recent paintings to the buildings fool you. There is a huge mold problem at this complex. Your windows will literally freeze whenever it gets cold outside. Apartment is not properly insulated. Stayed sick because of the mold. The apartment acknowledges the mold in the lease so just be mindful. The mold is very aggressive so you will be cleaning it everyday!
