AVE Somerset

While only a couple of days in on a short term lease, I must say that the level of service received from the maintenance staff so far definitely contributes towards the rAVE reviews for this property. Special mention and thank you to Hansel for his quick response and special care to an issue encountered our first night and subsequent follow-up to ensure we were satisfied and well taken care of. We love it here!

Amazing, wonderful, super helpful, super friendly, always welcoming us with a sunshine smile staff. I give them 5+ star. I hope to come back in the summer and use the swimming pool. The only negative experience my husband and I had was that we lost heat at least 4 times in less than 15 days. My husband being very sick could not handle this cold temperature in the middle of the winter days and nights. He was very uncomfortable.

The AVE Somerset is pricey, but understandably so as it provides a lot of amenities and easy short term leasing options. The furniture and provided kitchen items are nice, and the housekeeping was always great in providing new sheets/towels and cleaning surfaces inside. The room configurations are good with walk in closets, nice bathrooms, and large beds. The only furniture I wish was included was a desk—I find desks to be pretty standard at a hotel. I know it might be somewhat extra compared to the dining table but it would definitely add value especially in the 2bedroom units. We rented a furnished apartment for six weeks while my husband was undergoing treatment at Memorial Sloan Kettering nearby. The apartment had everything we needed (they even accommodated us with a more privately situated unit as our dog has never been in an apartment complex) but more importantly the staff here honestly cares about their community! I lived in many an apartment complex in my 20s and has never encountered one got fosters such a sense of community and honestly cares about their residents… even their temporary ones! Any need I had (dishwasher repair, package acceptance at the office, etc.) was handled immediately and followed up with me after completion to ensure I had no further needs. The maintenance team works really hard. I can appreciate that. They have a ROUGH job, so I always give them grace, the occasion I needed them was after hours, the gentleman came, he was professional and he left me with a reasonable solution until further repairs could be made. The service you get in the leasing office is… refreshing to say the least. They have a full team of staff members ready to help, so if you ask a question someone is unsure of, they’ll have you wait briefly while they go find an answer/solution.
