Run away from this place, they will take your deposit, tow your car away, treat you like they are doing you a favor. On top of that they don’t even take care of the place

if you’re looking for reasons to rent with mason properties / ashbury court, DONT - not accommodating at all - moved in & nothing was cleaned. there were stains everywhere in the kitchen - move in day was so crazy, they were very unorganized. gave me the wrong key for move in day - took way longer than it should’ve - bathroom fan was broken before we moved in - kitchen light fixture was broken before we moved in - they do not enforce the lease unless it’s convenient for them - supposed to be smoke free but my whole apartment building always smelled like cigarettes and weed - forced us to show our apartments to strangers (even if no one was home) and would not allow for accommodating a pet living there so my roommate and i had to keep our cat somewhere else to make sure no strangers were co

I rented a one-bedroom apartment for one year in 2014. I never hosted a party or smoked inside and the only person I lived with was my gf who had already graduated. The apartment was dirty when I moved in; we left it cleaner than we found it, and Mason Properties has the audacity to charge us for additional cleaning on top of the obligatory carpet cleaning fees. I never hung any pictures or put any holes in the wall but they also charged me to fix walls. The rent was cheap, but the hot water heater was only big enough for 10 minutes of hot water. Electric heat was expensive in the winter and poor insulation made it somewhat hot in the summer. I had a few problems with rodent infestations as well. I recommend going to the laundromat on Lincoln highway as opposed to the one on premis

Appartments are cheap which is the only nice thing about it. You get what you pay for. The baseboard heating is horribly inefficient and my electric bill is always unnecessarily high because of them. The management here has no regard for any of their tenants. I have lived here for three years and once the time comes when I don't want to renew I am treating like a rodent getting in their way. They never called me when they wanted to show the appartment. Which wouldn't have been such a bad thing if the managers attitude would have been better. She actually laughed when I told her she never called me, and then proceeded to leave before I could discuss other means to contact me next time. I would not recommend this place.
