Worst mortgage company ever and dumpster fire of an organization. AmeriHome Mortgage has demonstrated an unacceptable level of incompetence in managing my escrow account. I have contributed over $11,000 into my escrow—more than enough to cover my annual homeowner’s insurance premium—yet AmeriHome failed to pay my renewal to Progressive. Because of this negligence, my policy was terminated. When I contacted AmeriHome for help, the agent in the escrow department was completely unhelpful. Instead of taking responsibility for their failure to pay the premium on time, they told me, the customer, to pay the reinstatement bill myself and stated that AmeriHome would not cover the upfront cost. This is infuriating and entirely defeats the purpose of having an escrow account. What is the point of

Very disappointed in this company. My friend sold his house in November 2025. He asked for a payoff amount since this company held the mortgage on the house he was selling. Long story short, they held up the sale of his home because the payoff amount was not released until February 2026. This company is unreliable, non-communicative, unprofessional, and will cost you more money! Do not recommend this company!

Their escrow department lied to me multiple times, mishandled my account, and now I'm stuck paying penalties for their incompetence. Avoid if you can, they shouldn't be allowed to service VA loans.
