Alister Sherman Oaks

This is strictly a review for Lloyd and Jose who handle all things maintenance (and more) at Alister Sherman Oaks. The two of them have been the biggest blessing since my wife and I moved into our unit over 2.5 years ago and have made dealing with small and large issues a breeze. They respond promptly, are super informative, and handle every situation with an astoundingly high level of care. Huge bonus that they both happen to be incredibly nice, positive, and warm. They played a significant role in us renewing our lease for another year and we’re grateful to have them caring for both the property and our unit.

Beware of management promises that don’t get honored. Stacey told me I’d receive credits for lost keys, repainting, and that I wouldn’t be charged for minor scratches as some credit would be applied. I even moved out early to fix small paint issues that would’ve cost me $15. I still got charged anyway. Trying to reach her afterward was impossible, and once you move out, your balance immediately gets pushed to collections since you can’t pay through the portal anymore. The apartment wasn’t clean at move-in—dirty under the counters and blue residue all over the floors. The layout is poorly designed with very little lighting upstairs. The one-bedroom hallway near the bathroom is narrow with too many doors in the way, making it awkward and uncomfortable, especially when doing laundry. I ha

I enjoy living at the Alister. It’s a great location, and what truly makes this complex special is Marissa and Lloyd. They do everything they can so my move in and time here has been fantastic. Marissa is always so helpful, and took the time to give me great recommendations as I’m new to the city. She goes above and beyond for the residents. GIVE THIS GIRL A RAISE!! Lloyd is super friendly, funny, and clearly a professional. He fixes any and all issues quickly and correctly. Lloyd deserves a raise as well!! A drawback to living here has been how frequently the elevator breaks. It’s been broken for about 20% (3.5wks over 5months) of my time here. I hope upper management prioritizes getting a new company to service the elevator asap. Folks with limited mobility would have a difficult time

Love love love my new place!! Marissa at the front desk helped me she is amazing make sure u ask for her! It’s a great location I truly enjoy walking to Whole Foods for fresh coffee .. I love the building everyone is so friendly! The office staff are definitely welcoming and they assisted me the entire process! Thanks so much I’m so happy .. nah this place is perfect I’m literally happy with my decision and all the neighbors are so happy and friendly just my type of energy !! That again to the amazing staff they are truly awesome !

Living at Alister Sherman Oaks has been a great experience! The community is clean, peaceful, and beautifully maintained. The management team is professional, friendly, and always quick to respond to any requests or concerns, which makes living here stress-free and comfortable.. The apartments are modern and comfortable, and the location is perfect — close to everything I need. Highly recommend!
