Woodlake Park Apartments

This place was not bad. The value is definitely there. I stayed here for many years to save up to buy my house. The pool and lake across the street are both nice. Good neighbors. My biggest complaint is they have a central boiler system and you can’t control your heat easily. There is no thermostat, only a dial that goes from 1 - 5 that doesn’t work. They also shut the heat off too early the last year I was there. There were only two washers and dryers for my whole building, which was kind of a pain. Management also changed a lot, which hurt the consistency around the property. Not a fan of the dogs either.

I enjoyed living here. I moved in to this place in the summer of 2022, and loved it. I knew I was getting into an old apartment, but was honestly happy with the unit I got. Unfortunately, I ended up finding a mouse in my apartment one random morning about a month later courtesy of my cat. Apparently, there was a hoarder in the building and they were just evicted. I didn't think much of this because I figured it was a one off thing and trusted my landlord at the time, who was very helpful and reassuring. About a month later, sometime in mid August, I woke up to my cat rustling about in the middle of the night - twice. He managed to find and catch 2 different mice a couple hours apart. I had gotten mice traps and set them up around the apartment and it seemed to have been working. There was

I have my deposit my application fee ready to move in, came and seen the place two times because she wanted me to see for the second time the one that I’m actually was going to live in when she seen my pay stubs she upped the rent $100 and then she said did I tell you that it can go up how can it go up if it wasn’t even ready how can it go up if we have my move-in date for the 14thscam artist quoted me 1535 didn’t want 1650 I was so lost. I just took all my things back and left and found something better.

For the most part, I enjoy living here. It has its pluses & minuses, the new Property Manager (Maggie) is amazing. That being said, this company claims that they are "pet friendly", but that couldn't be further from the truth. "Pet friendly" is not a term they should use, "accepting pets" or "pets allowed" sure. They do not use "pet friendly" salt to clear the walkways, so now I can't walk my dogs around the property without them having issues. Note: we just walked for 30 minutes around the lake across the street without issues, so it being cold or the actual snow is not the issue. Woodlake Park Apartments is a lovely place to live. We enjoy the quiet and the proximity to the lake. We can find most everything we need five minutes away or less. Richfield in general is a welcoming and open community with a diverse population. The schools have been a blessing for our son. The management is wonderful and responsive: Thanks Sue, Selene, Mark, Dan, and Jennifer. We really have a sense of community here, and people take care of one another. All in all, a super loving environment.
