Woodfield Farms - Rainey Homes

We built our new home with Rainey Homes, and unfortunately, the experience was not what we had hoped for. While we love our neighborhood and the friendships we’ve built here, the process of working with their general contractor was frustrating, and we’ve encountered issues with the house since the build. After the house was completed, we were given a 1-year warranty. I submitted warranty claims for several issues, but it was a struggle to get them resolved. It required so much time and effort on my part just to get them to address two of the problems. After that, I gave up on submitting additional claims because it simply wasn’t worth the hassle. As an HVAC tech I can tell you that they almost certainly went with the lowest bid. We have seen this company take advantage of our elderly mom from the beginning. When I changed her air filter I noticed the furnace has a heavy layer of drywall dust inside it, which means the builder made the rookie mistake of not disabling the furnace while still under construction. So now there is dust throughout the HVAC system, including the ductwork. This dust, if not taken care of, will likely turn to mold, and will cause issues with the control board and supply fan. What do you want to bet this builder does nothing about it, just like everything else.

Who builds a home and centers a light post on the FRONT DOOR? The water spout in the back yard is 7 feet off of the ground and the trim work on the inside of the house is terrible.
