I live at the Harbor Villa’s and love it. The location is amazing. Walks along the harbor and a hop skip and a jump to the Beach. I love walking out the door and being right at the waters edge. Marine mammals at arms length. boaters, jet skis, paddle boarders, passing by in the channel. I appreciate the great job they do in keeping the hallways, stairwells and elevators clean. The apartments have been updated with new appliances, plank flooring, and nice countertops. The big windows and sliding glass doors make it easy to view the beautiful sunsets and water views The maintenance man Gil keeps the trash and recycling orderly and you can find him always working somewhere on the property. Horrible company. I lived in their building off Coldwater for almost 5 years. Just before we moved out, they left a notice stating we had to give a 60 day notice. It went against our lease, but they wouldn’t let us get out of paying it without an eviction. Then once they sent the deposit back they tried to take all of our money for things that went explicitly against the lease. Much like every other review here, once we threaded small claims (for the illegal 60 day notice too) they said they’d send our deposit back. During the time living there we had constant leaks that were just painted over, and hardly ever were repairs finished. Melissa was so condescending in the end and tried to say that was our fault. The management is atrocious. I’ve lived in two properties owned by WHAB. One property was owned by a dif company before WHAB acquired it. It immediately went downhill after the purchase. They don’t upkeep plants, the elevator was out of service often, the laundry machines were CONSTANTLY broken or not working properly, it would take a week or more for maintenance to do their job, the management was absolutely awful. They tried to charge me unnecessarily for things the landlord is supposed to cover. Upon moving out they also tried to hustle us into paying for capital improvements that they were already intending of doing and tried to force us to pay for. RUN! RUN! RUN!!! This “management company” is a total scam and joke. I lived on north Martel Ave in apartment 419. It smelled intensely of garbage after the first few days of living there. I was next to the garbage shoot. You could smell it at all hours of the night all throughout the apartment. Which I told about the first week and continued to bring up but nothing was done. The walls are so so so thin. Someone screams all day in the back, which I feel bad for because she is sick but then a guy yells out back at her. Pott smell all the time, and cigarettes. Hello, I've been feeling a bit concerned about the security here lately. Besides the ongoing noise and mold, which can be quite disruptive, something really upsetting happened. My car was unfortunately burglarized, and it was parked right in the gated area! 1223 Federal ave, It's pretty shocking, especially when you expect a gated lot to be secure. The damage is over $1000, so it's definitely a significant issue.Just wanted to bring this to attention .
