These houses are made of cardboard and wood—what else can you expect? Next door to my house, which unfortunately my husband didn't listen to me and bought anyway. What a huge mistake! The houses are terribly painted, poorly finished, the bathroom cabinets are scratched and unfinished, the kitchen is the same—the paint is peeling just by looking at it. The bricks on the front of the house are all chipped because I took it upon myself to watch the people building next door, and they throw away the material. Out of every five bricks a man throws, four break, and they just lay them up like that. And don't even get me started on the state of the concrete driveway where the cars are parked—it's full of stains, rust, paint—in short, nobody supervises the construction of these houses. As a homeowner I have lived in a few homes and know what good quality is. Unfortunately Westin missed the mark. Their homes are beautiful but poor quality. I’ve been in the home for only one month and it has been one thing after another. Kind of like a Mercedes very beautiful but poor quality!

Don’t care about you and your families health and safety? Buy with Westin. Don’t mind having a house built with poor oversight and beer cans all around? Build with Westin. Love mold? Then you’ve found your builder. The company has been reached out to and don’t feel at fault. Essentially the response is that it’s in the contract they are not responsible for their terrible work after closing. So if you also want a builder who doesn’t cares about you and their reputation, DEFINITELY BUILD WITH WESTIN. You will see by the reviews that their only decent reviews are people who visited, but didn’t buy. Trust the real life examples and learn from our costly mistakes.

Bad experience with this builder. I'm in my 26th month and discovered a bad roof leak. I was told that the warranty only covered the roof for 1 year. I made appointments with my insurance adjuster and a licensed roofer to get their assessment. Both their assessment was that the guest bathroom vent in the roof was installed incorrectly. The hole was made too big and their roofer tried to fix it with expanding spray foam which is now leaking like a sieve. We just noticed the leak in the guest bdrm a week ago cause there were paint chips on the carpet. My roofer & adjuster concluded that this leak was going on for a few months. Why should I be on the hook for poor workmanship!!!! I've tried to call Westin but they don't return my calls.

I am in the process of building a home with Westin. So far, my experience has been nothing short of amazing. Savannah is very accommodating to our needs. We don't live in the Houston area. We live in North Texas, and she sends us pictures of the progress. She has even gone as far as connecting me to the project manager when we had concerns about a recent pre-slab inspection. He assured us everything would be corrected before the slab was poured. I have really enjoyed working with Savannah as she is kind and happy to meet any requests we have. Thank you!
