West Edge Apartments

I live here now, it is absolutely terrible. None of the property rules are enforced, there’s homeless everywhere, my car was broken into on the grounds, there’s no parking for residents, and the entire outside smells like week. None of the pet rules are enforced, and there is dog crap all over the sidewalks and in the grass. Do not live here, it is awful.

We have lived at West Edge for almost 2 years now and we have truly enjoyed this experience. The staff is very kind and responsive to anything we need and they work hard to enforce all the important rules that make a luxury apartment complex, pleasant, peaceful and safe. It isn’t easy with so many thousands of tenants/people… Especially so many young people who don’t quite understand or grasp the value of certain lifestyle standards. We truly are thankful and we really hope that the team that runs the office and all of the events get all the support they need from there superiors because they’re working very hard to make it wonderful for us all. Since the new management has come, we have food trucks, designated parking so that we at least have a chance of parking near our own home, The poo

i thank Southwood (apartment owners) for finally sending a licensed professional from corporate to do a complete INDEPENDENT examination of my HVAC unit proven by december electric bill that was 3 times higher than any past months in my last 2 years and photos of thermastat clearly showing locked in emergency heat mode at 75 degrees when i had it set to only heat to 67 and managements only defense was it was a very cold month and no explanation why my apartment was the only one with outrageous bill. I never received a written report of his findings but management said in an email that HVAC unit was fine. Which was totally expected considering his INDEPENDENT evaluation was conducted by him and the onsite tech who already concluded unit was fine. Checking the unit after they left i noticed

Lissette and Kristian were amazing to work with. They were understanding, personable, and quick to respond. When dealing with an issue, Lissette takes all concerns seriously and was able to resolve it efficiently. It is easy to put in a maintenance order and they are quick as well. I enjoyed my time at West Edge! Thank you.

This is a company that is dysfunctional and that's obvious from many things. 1) the website doesn't show any apartment at all. Every photo of the layout is "coming soon" yet this place has existed for many years. New management included. 2) There's a lot of 5 star reviews from people who have merely looked at the place but never moved in. They were clearly requested to get 5 star reviews. That or they are fake, and there's quite a few of those. IYKYK. 3) Most of the 1 star reviews are from actual residents with photos and long descriptions of the vast problems with the property and it's management. That's incredibly telling all on it's own. 4) Look for photos of the place. Can't find any except a pool and an office? Yes, that's always a solid warning that the place is going to be dreadful.
